B2B brand for cold outbound.

Cold outbound fails when the prospect looks the company up and finds nothing credible. Fix the brand surfaces that the prospect actually checks (homepage, LinkedIn, case studies) and reply rates lift 2 to 3 times. The brand work that matters for outbound is narrower than most agencies sell.

What the prospect actually checks

When a prospect receives a cold email and is intrigued enough to look up the sender, they hit three surfaces in this order: the company homepage, the sender's LinkedIn, and one case study or recent piece of content. The decision to reply or delete happens in under 90 seconds. The brand work that matters for outbound is the work that holds up in those 90 seconds.

What to build, in what order

1. Homepage first 200 words. A direct answer to "what does this company do, for whom, and why should I pay attention" in plain language. Not a tagline. Not a poem. A sentence the prospect can quote internally.

2. Sender LinkedIn profile. Headline that matches what the email said. About section with a real point of view. Recent post within the last 60 days. Profile photo that is not a stock placeholder.

3. One case study above the fold on the relevant service page. Named client (or anonymised with industry plus size). Specific outcome. Date within the last 18 months.

That is the minimum viable brand surface for cold outbound to convert. Everything else (full brand guidelines, brand video, brand voice document) does not move the reply rate.

What lifts the reply rate further

Founder content visible from the LinkedIn profile. A pricing page that gives a band rather than "contact us". A case study that survives a procurement review (verifiable client, dated outcome, methodology disclosed). A "trusted by" logo strip with real companies rather than stock illustrations.
