ORRJO runs lead generation for renewable energy and cleantech companies from £2,500 a month. For Jua, a Swiss company specialising in AI-driven weather prediction and analysis for the energy sector, we booked 33 meetings with target ICP within the first 2 months and 450+ across the partnership, with the first meeting booked in 3 days.
This page covers what public data and sector specialists say about how energy buyers decide, our two energy and renewables case studies, how we run the work, what it costs with us and at the agencies that publish a price, and the UK rules on cold outreach. Every outside figure links to its source, checked on 13 October 2026.
- Price: Lead Generation from £2,500 a month. Most clients invest between £2,500 and £10,000 a month. Webinars run inside Demand Generation, from £2,500 a month.
- Sector proof: Jua (450+ meetings booked across the partnership, 556 webinar sign-ups) and Ceiba Renewables (£1 million of new business in 6 months, a 60% increase in revenue).
- First meetings: outreach begins within 2 weeks of kickoff, and first qualified meetings typically land within 2 weeks of launch.
- How: phone, email and LinkedIn outreach in your company's name, run by people, with your approval before any meeting is booked.

- Term: a 3-month paid pilot is available to start.
What results has ORRJO delivered in energy and renewables?
Two published ORRJO case studies come from this sector: Jua, which serves the energy sector, and Ceiba Renewables. Both ran Lead Generation and Demand Generation together. The figures below are taken from each case-study page.
Jua: AI-driven weather prediction for the energy sector
Jua is a Swiss company specialising in AI-driven weather prediction and analysis for the energy sector. It came to us with an ambitious growth target and no internal business development team. What ORRJO built: SDR support using omni-channel to generate leads, global outreach across multiple geographies and timezones, and a webinar series positioning Jua as an industry expert.
| Result | Figure |
|---|---|
| Meetings with target ICP within the first 2 months | 33 |
| Meetings booked across the partnership, and counting | 450+ |
| Webinar sign-ups | 556 |
| Time to book the first meeting | 3 days |
“ORRJO plays an integral part of our growth journey, and I'm really impressed by the results we're seeing already. We've been really impressed with the speed ORRJO has ramped up. Hitting the ground running and booking qualified sales opportunities in a matter of days - in fact our first meeting was booked within the first 3 days of project launch!”
Benjamin Guett, Chief of Staff, Jua
Those 3 days are also our record: our fastest first qualified meeting on record came three days from kick-off. Read the Jua case study.
Ceiba Renewables: inbound follow-up, B2B email campaigns and a webinar series
Senior management at Ceiba Renewables were heavily involved in the sales process, with a high volume of inbound leads and limited capacity to follow up. The company needed an outbound motion to supplement inbound leads and increase B2B opportunities. What ORRJO built: strategy development in collaboration with the leadership team, follow up of inbound sales enquiries and generation of qualified sales leads, a B2C webinar series positioning Ceiba as a premium solar PV installer, and ICP focused email campaigns for B2B prospects.
| Result | Figure |
|---|---|
| New business generated in 6 months | £1 million |
| Increase in revenue | 60% |
| Registrations for the webinar series | 178 |
“From the outset they understood the nuances and challenges of sales within our industry”
Ceiba Renewables
One detail matters if you are comparing: Ceiba's 178 registrations came from a B2C webinar series, and B2B prospects were reached through ICP focused email campaigns. Read the Ceiba Renewables case study.
What makes selling to energy and cleantech buyers different?
Public guidance and sector specialists describe energy purchases as group decisions on long timelines: a UK government buying guide names four functions to involve in one power purchase agreement, and a US agency says the cleantech companies that work with it best have sales cycles of 6 to 24 months. None of the figures in this section comes from ORRJO.
The buying group is wide
The Government Commercial Agency's business case guidance for public bodies buying a power purchase agreement recommends involving "Procurement Directors, Energy/Utilities Manager, Estate managers, and Financial Directors as early as possible" (GCA, RM6289 business case guidance). That is four functions for one energy contract.
Salesforce Ventures, in a 2024 guide for early-stage climate and SaaS startups selling to utilities, says "Utilities are large enterprises with multiple stakeholders involved in purchasing decisions" and names five stakeholder groups to focus on: the C-suite, business users, IT, procurement and regulatory affairs. New Perspective describes the cleantech and renewable energy companies that work with it best as having "a buying committee that spans both technical evaluators and business decision-makers".
Across all industries, not energy alone, Forrester found in 2026 that the typical buying decision includes 13 internal stakeholders and nine external influencers, and that procurement professionals are decision-makers in 53% of business buying cycles.
What we take from this: map every role in the decision before the first call, and write to each one about what that role answers for, rather than sending one sequence to one job title.
Sales cycles are long
The same Salesforce Ventures guide says selling to utilities "can be beset by long sales-cycles, numerous decision-makers, varying regulations, and a culture that can be risk averse to emerging technologies." New Perspective, a US marketing agency, says the companies that work with it best have "sales cycles that run from 6 to 24 months". That is one agency's description of its own clients, not a market study, and we found no independent UK figure for energy sales cycles.
What we take from this: judge the first quarter of an outbound programme on qualified meetings held with the right roles, and judge revenue over a longer window.
Projects run on grid and construction timelines
The same GCA guidance says solar farms can take up to two years from commissioning to construction and grid connection. The National Energy System Operator says the old queue for grid access grew tenfold in five years, to over 700 GW, around four times Great Britain's projected need by 2030, and that its reformed pipeline holds 283 GW of generation and storage capacity and 99 GW of transmission-connected demand (NESO, 8 December 2025).
What we take from this: if you sell into projects, ask where each prospect's projects sit in that process on the first call, and record it against the account.
How big is the UK market for energy and cleantech sales?
The ONS estimates that 118,000 UK businesses reported low carbon and renewable energy activity in 2024, up from 94,500 in 2023, and puts the turnover of the UK's low carbon and renewable energy economy at £77.0 billion in 2024.
| Measure | Figure | Source |
|---|---|---|
| UK businesses reporting low carbon and renewable energy activity, 2024 | 118,000, up 24.9% from 94,500 in 2023 | ONS |
| Turnover of the UK low carbon and renewable energy economy, 2024 | £77.0 billion, up £8.1 billion (11.8%) on 2023 | ONS |
| Employment in that economy, 2024 | 304,000 full-time equivalents, down 13,000 (4.1%) on 2023 | ONS |
| Renewables' share of UK electricity generation, Quarter 2 2026 | A record 55.8% | DESNZ Energy Trends |
| UK renewable installed capacity, Quarter 2 2026 | 66.3 GW, up 2.7 GW (4.2%) on Quarter 2 2025 | DESNZ Energy Trends |
| UK solar installations | More than 2.1 million | DESNZ Energy Trends |
| Investment needed for Clean Power 2030 | An estimated £40 billion on average per year between 2025 and 2030, much of it private investment | Clean Power 2030 Action Plan |
| 2030 capacity ambition | 43 to 50 GW offshore wind, 27 to 29 GW onshore wind, 45 to 47 GW solar | Clean Power 2030 Action Plan |
| Global energy investment, 2026 (IEA estimate) | $3.4 trillion, of which around $2.2 trillion is expected to go to renewables, nuclear, grids, storage, low-emissions fuels, efficiency and electrification | IEA |
The ONS notes that these are survey-based estimates drawn from a sample of businesses. By its count, the number of UK businesses reporting this activity rose by almost a quarter in a year, which is why we build every list from scratch against your ICP rather than from an old export.
How does ORRJO run lead generation for energy and cleantech companies?
In six steps, the same as every ORRJO Lead Generation programme: an onboarding workshop, data and targeting, outreach in your name, qualification against your bar, briefing and approval, and reporting, with the list built from scratch against your ICP.
- Onboarding workshop. Around 90 minutes and between 150 and 200 questions, led by our operations team.
- Data and targeting. Lists built from scratch against your ICP, drawing on licence and registration data, property and site data, and contract end dates. Every record resolves to a named person with a reason to call. Never just a company.
- Outreach in your name. Cold email, LinkedIn direct outreach and outbound calling, run together, with dedicated personas and purpose-bought domains. People on every conversation, AI underneath them. Two to three SDRs are trained on your account so cover never drops. Outreach runs in English.
- Qualified against your bar. Right organisation, right person, genuine need. Anything on top, such as a confirmed budget, a timeline or a second stakeholder, is agreed at discovery.
- Briefing and approval. Before a meeting is booked you get the briefing notes: name, role, LinkedIn, the problems they raised, what they are doing about it today and why it is not working. You give the green light before we book it. We confirm with the prospect the day before.
- Reporting. A dedicated EU-hosted CRM environment with a live dashboard, every call logged with its recording, and a briefing note on every meeting.
Webinars, where they fit. Both clients above ran a webinar series alongside outbound. Webinars run inside Demand Generation, and where lead generation is included, we run a structured sales follow-up across the full sign-up list, not just those who attended. See webinars and events for how a programme runs.
The service level. Every engagement runs to a written service level agreement on the meetings we book. If a meeting does not happen due to no show, we replace it. If an SDR leaves, we backfill within two weeks at no cost. How we work walks through an engagement from the first call.
How soon do the first meetings come?
Outreach begins within 2 weeks of kickoff, and first qualified meetings typically land within 2 weeks of launch. Jua's first meeting came in 3 days, which is our fastest on record, and 33 meetings with target ICP followed within the first 2 months.
Most ORRJO engagements run at 4 to 12 highly qualified meetings a month, with entry level typically targeting 4 to 5. We give you targets and what they're based on, never guarantees.
What does lead generation for energy companies cost?
ORRJO Lead Generation starts from £2,500 a month, and most clients invest between £2,500 and £10,000 a month. The final figure depends on the volume of qualified meetings you need and how deep the qualification goes, both set at discovery and confirmed in your proposal.
| ORRJO service | Price | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Lead Generation | From £2,500 a month; typically £2,500 to £10,000 | ICP build, data, purpose-bought domains and personas, and phone, email and LinkedIn outreach in your company's name, run by people. A dedicated EU-hosted CRM environment with a live dashboard, every call logged with its recording, and a briefing note on every meeting. |
| Demand Generation | From £2,500 a month | Webinars, ABM warming, founder LinkedIn ghostwriting, content strategy, organic LinkedIn distribution, podcast strategy and clips, and dark social. |
| Sales days | From £350 a day | A trained ORRJO SDR works your list for the days you choose: a product launch, an event, a push on existing accounts. |
| Lead Generation and Demand Generation together | Discounted combined rate | Both services run as one programme. Bundling comes at a discounted combined rate. |
A 3-month paid pilot is available to start. Engagements typically run 6 to 12 months, and committing to 12 months earns a discounted rate. The full breakdown, including what other UK agencies charge, is on B2B lead generation pricing, and every ORRJO price is on the pricing page.
Of the agencies we checked that market energy or cleantech expertise, three publish a price on their own sites. Prices are shown in the currency each one publishes.
| Agency | Published price | What the price is for |
|---|---|---|
| Danish Lead Co. | Most engagements $3,000 to $6,000 a month once live; the initial programme runs a minimum of three months | Outbound systems it builds and operates |
| New Perspective | From $7,000 a month; most clients $7,000 to $15,000; typically recommends a minimum 6-month engagement | Demand generation |
| Blend | Fixed-term strategy from £10k; ongoing retainers from £6k a month | Demand generation, as priced on Blend's own renewable energy guide |
These are not like-for-like products. Two of the three price demand generation, not outbound meetings. Compare quotes on one unit: a qualified meeting, defined the same way, that actually takes place. And if outbound is not the right answer, we say so: about one in four discovery calls end with us recommending you build in house instead.
Which agencies offer lead generation for renewable energy companies?
Seven agencies besides ORRJO market energy, renewables or cleantech work on websites we could check: Blend, Danish Lead Co., DG+, Krishnan & Associates, New Perspective, Revnew and Wildtribe. Whichever you shortlist, ask each one for case studies with named clients and figures, their written definition of a qualified meeting, and who owns the data and sending domains when the contract ends. Our free agency scorecard sets out those questions and more, and asks you to put every one of them to us as well.
Is cold outreach to energy companies legal in the UK?
It can be, within rules the ICO sets out. The ICO says the PECR rule on marketing by electronic mail, such as email or text, does not apply to corporate subscribers, which include companies, limited liability partnerships, Scottish partnerships and some government bodies (ICO).
- Sole traders and other partnerships are classed as individual subscribers, and PECR treats them the same as individuals.
- UK GDPR still applies. If you process personal data for direct marketing, even in a business context, the UK GDPR applies: you must tell people and have a lawful basis. Business contacts can object to your direct marketing.
- Calls: before you make live B2B calls, you need to screen against both the CTPS and TPS registers, as well as your own do not call list.
- The guidance is changing. The ICO marks this page as under review after the Data (Use and Access) Act.
At ORRJO, outreach is run under GDPR, with EU hosting and EU data residency, automatic do not call handling, and data cleaned and validated before anyone dials it. This is a summary of the ICO's guidance, not legal advice.
Questions buyers ask
How much does lead generation for a renewable energy company cost?
ORRJO Lead Generation starts from £2,500 a month, and most clients invest between £2,500 and £10,000 a month. The final figure depends on the volume of qualified meetings you need and how deep the qualification goes, both set at discovery and confirmed in your proposal. Of the agencies we checked that market energy or cleantech work, Danish Lead Co. publishes $3,000 to $6,000 a month for most engagements, and New Perspective prices demand generation from $7,000 a month.
Has ORRJO worked with energy companies before?
Yes. Jua, a Swiss company specialising in AI-driven weather prediction and analysis for the energy sector, has had 450+ meetings booked across the partnership and 556 webinar sign-ups. Ceiba Renewables saw £1 million of new business in 6 months and a 60% increase in revenue. Both ran Lead Generation and Demand Generation together, and both case studies are published on our site.
How long does it take to get the first meetings?
Outreach begins within 2 weeks of kickoff, and first qualified meetings typically land within 2 weeks of launch. Our fastest first qualified meeting on record came three days from kick-off, for Jua. Closing takes longer: New Perspective, a US marketing agency, says the cleantech companies that work with it best have sales cycles of 6 to 24 months. Judge the first quarter on qualified meetings held with the right roles.
Can ORRJO run webinars for an energy company as well as outbound?
Yes. Webinars run inside Demand Generation, from £2,500 a month. Jua ran a webinar series positioning it as an industry expert, with 556 webinar sign-ups, and Ceiba Renewables' webinar series had 178 registrations. Where lead generation is included, we run a structured sales follow-up across the full sign-up list, not just those who attended.
Is it legal to cold email energy companies in the UK?
The ICO says the PECR rule on marketing by electronic mail does not apply to corporate subscribers, such as companies and limited liability partnerships. Sole traders and some partnerships are treated as individuals. UK GDPR still applies to the personal data you use, and live B2B calls must be screened against the TPS and CTPS. The ICO marks this guidance as under review after the Data (Use and Access) Act.
Can ORRJO reach energy buyers outside the UK?
Yes. For Jua, a Swiss company, ORRJO ran global outreach across multiple geographies and timezones, alongside a webinar series positioning Jua as an industry expert. Outreach runs in English, by phone, email and LinkedIn, in your company's name, with dedicated personas and purpose-bought domains.
What contract does ORRJO ask for?
A 3-month paid pilot is available to start. Engagements typically run 6 to 12 months, and committing to 12 months earns a discounted rate. Every engagement runs to a written service level agreement on the meetings we book, and if a meeting does not happen due to no show, we replace it.
Does ORRJO use AI SDRs?
No. We do not use AI SDRs. AI does the volume work underneath every ORRJO engagement, and people do everything you see and hear: our SDRs write every sequence and make every call. Two to three SDRs are trained on your account so cover never drops.
